For more than a decade, Robert Harper has devoted his time to sharing the true history of the development of the modern Canadian flag. Through his tireless efforts, he has corrected government webpages, educated countless students and government employees, and installed testaments to the flag in his community of Brockville. His advocacy for the recognition of Brockville as the birthplace of the Canadian flag has been instrumental in helping Canadians understand the intricate origins of their national symbol and honour the legacy of John Ross Matheson.
